Siraha District is a district of Sagarmatha Zone, administrative headquarters of this district is Siraha-Madar, located in Eastern Development Region of Nepal. It is situated in the height of 76 meters to 895 meters from sea level and covers 1188 square kilometers. Total population of Siraha district is 637,328 according to census 2068 B.S. (2011 A.D.). Main profession of the residents in this district are business and agriculture. Its agricultural land is 76878.5 hectare; there are 106 village development committees and 2 Municipalities in this district that are Lahan and Siraha Municipality. Main residents of this district are Yadav Musahar, Koiri, Teli, Musalman etc.
