Environmental conservation program is a public awareness volunteer program design to stop the serious problem global warming. Global warming is a serious problem for human beings and other creators. It is necessary to organize the environmental awareness program to stop global warming and protect the all living things and natural resources of universe. Nepal is one of the rich countries of natural resources but now days Nepal’s forest cover has been dwindling at an alarming rate as demand for firewood continues unabated in Nepal. The growing human settlement in forested land and industrialization has also intensified the problems. Many local non-government and international organizations have been raising awareness against the issue. The effect of this campaign can be seen with community forest and local initiative to halt the march of deforestation. Realizing the need of nature conservation, we started a village nursery in different rural and urban areas of Nepal, Where volunteers prepare seedlings of different plant species and distribute free to local peoples. You can teach and share the idea about environmental awareness in local schools and villagers in community. Example projects like creating green clubs, planting a flower garden, planting trees, garbage management, recycling programs, making a smokeless stove, building a toilet pit, plant a tree etc. Environmental awareness activities and programs can also be undertaken in the children’s home we currently serve. In this setting projects could include; informing children about the hazards of inappropriate garbage disposal, building a compost bin and teaching the children how to maintain it, creating paper recycling stations to teach the children a valuable skill that could ultimately be used in their future.
These education projects are conducted at a very basic level, introducing the villagers to concepts and creative activities of environmental awareness and personal hygiene. Volunteers may also provide assistance to youth clubs or women’s groups in the community sharing their ideas, skills and knowledge about environmental issues. Our coordinator will guide you during the project period. Volunteers’ efforts and contributions can create a positive impact on nature and promote environmental conservation, let’s join our Environment conservation volunteer project.
