Mustang District is a district of  Dhaulagiri Zone, administrative headquarters of this district is Jomosom, located in Western Development Region of Nepal. It is situated in the height of 1372 meters to 8167 meters from sea level and its area is 3573 square kilo meters. Total population of Mustang district is 13,452 according to census 2068 B.S. (2011 A.D.). Main profession of the residents in this district are tourism and agriculture. Its agricultural land is 1044.7 hectare, there are 16 village development committees that are Chhondup, Chhoser, Lomanthang, Charang, Dhami, Surkhang, Chhusang, Kagbeni, Jhong. Muktinath, Marpha, Jomsom, Tukuche, Kowang, Kunjo, late.  There is not any Municipality in this district. It is famous for apple production in Nepal. Main residents of this district are Gurung, Thakali, Magar, Chhetri, Kami etc. lower and upper part of this district decorated with awesome landscape.
