Dadeldhura District is a district of  Mahakali Zone, administrative headquarters of this district is Dadeldhura city, situated in far western Development Region of Nepal. It is situated in the height of 157 meters to 2439 meters from sea level and its area is 1538 square kilometers. Total population of Dadeldhura district is 142,094 according to census 2068 B.S. (2011 A.D.). Main profession of the residents of this district are service, business trade and agriculture. Its agricultural land is 11,168.1 hectare,  there are 20 village development committees that are Jogbudha, Aalital, Gangkhet, Shirshe. Rupal, Bagarkot, Bhageshwor, Asigram, Dewaldivyapur, Chipur, Bhadrapur, Ajayameru, Samaiji, Kotenli, Manilek, Belapur. Nawadurga, Mashtmandu, Kailpalmandu, Ganeshpur and  a Amargadhi Municipality. Main residents of this district are Chhetri, Bramhin, kami, Sharki, Thakuri etc.
