Arghakhanchi District is a district of  Lumbini Zone, administrative headquarters of this district is Sandhikharka, located in Western Development Region of Nepal. It is situated in the height of 544 meters to 4168 meters from sea level and its area is 1193 square kilo meters. Total population of Arghakhanchi district is 197,632 according to census 2068 B.S. (2011 A.D.). Main profession of the residents in this district is agriculture. Its agricultural land is 19552 hectare,  there are 42 village development committees that are Siddhadhara, Jaluke, Jukena. Thanda, Simalpani, Subgarnakhal, sitapur, Pokharathok, Patauti, Panena, Khidim, Maidan, Ghatibang, Maidan. Pali, Balkot, Chidika, Kerunga, Bangla, Anguri, Narapani, Khanchikot, Dhikura, Dhanchaur, Nuwakot. Khilji, Sandhikharka, Kimdanda, Dharapani, Asurkot, Dhakawang, Argha, Gophunga, Hansapur, Khandaha, Bagi. khandaha, Khan, divarna, Arghatos, Mareng, Bhagawati, Thulopokhari, Chhatragunj. There is not any Municipality in this district. Main residents of this district are Bramhin, Chhetri, Magar, Kami, Sarki etc.
