Dang District is a district of  Rapti Zone, administrative headquarters of this district is Ghorahi, located in Mid Western Development Region of Nepal. It is situated in the height of 610 meters to 1130 meters from sea level and its area is 2955 square kilometers. Total population of Dang district is 552,583 according to census 2068 B.S. (2011 A.D.). Main profession of the residents in this district are agriculture, business and jobs. Dhikpur,Narayanpur, Saudiyar, Dharna, Satbaria, Rajpur, Bela, Koilabas, Gadwa, Gowardiha, Gangaparaspur,Chaulahi. Sonpur, Sishania, Lalmatia, hasipur, Loharpani, Laxmipur, Rampur, Kavre,Syauja, Saidha. There are two Municipalities in this district that are Tulsipur and Tribhuwan Nagar Municipality. Main residents of this district are Tharu, Bramhin, Chhetri, Magar, Kami etc.
