Manang District is a district of  Gandaki Zone, administrative headquarters of  this district is Chame, situated in Western Development Region of Nepal. It is situated in the height of 1880 meters to 8156 meters from sea level and its area is 2246 square kilometers. Total population of Manang district is 6,538 according to census 2068 B.S. (2011 A.D.). Main profession of the residents in this district are tourism and agriculture. Its agricultural land is 907.4 hectare there are 13 village development committees that are Phu, Nar, Thoche, Bagarchhap, Dharapani, ChamePisang, Dabal, Ghyaru, Manang, Khangsar, TankiManang, Bhrakra. There is not any Municipality in this district. Main residents of this district are Gurung, Bramhin, Chhetri, Sherpa, Tamang etc.
