Kailali District Nepal

Kailali District is a district of  Seti  Zone, administrative headquarters of this district is Dhangadhi, situated in Western Development Region of Nepal. It is situated in the height of 179 meters to 1957 meters from sea level and its total area is 3235 square kilometers. Total population of Kailali district is 775,709 according to census of 2068 B.S. (2011 A.D.). Main profession of the residents of this district is agriculture. Its agricultural land is 64156 hectare,  there are 42 Village Development Committees these are Sahajpur, Nigali, Godawari. Malakheti, Shreepur, Geta, Beladevipur, Khairala, Urma, Chaumala, Mahanyal, Pandaun, Sugarkhal, Ramshikharjhakla. Masuria, Dhansinghpur, Narayanpur, Thapapur, Bhajani, Lalbojhi, Manuwa, Joshipur, Khailad, Ratanpur, pabera. Hasuliya, Basauti, Gadaria, fulbari, Udasipur, pahalwanpur, Darakh, Shandepani, dododhara, Chuha, Balia, Pathria. Pratappur, Kotatulasipur, Baunia, Janakinagar, Durgauli. There are two Municipalities in this district these are called Dhangadi Municipality and Tikapur Municipality. Main residents of this district are Tharu, Bramhin, Chhetri, Magar, Kami etc.
