Doti District is a district of  Seti  Zone, administrative headquarters of this district is Dipayal, located in Western Development Region of Nepal. It is situated in the height of 305 meters to 2430 meters from sea level. Total area of this district is 2025 square kilometers. Total population of Doti district is 211,746 according to census of 2068 B.S. (2011 A.D.). Main profession of the residents of this district is agriculture. Its agricultural land is 16429 hectare, there are 50 Village Development Committees these  are Kedarakhada, Kanachour, Simchaur, Ghanglagaon, Chamarachautara, Sataferi, Gaguda, dhirkamadu, Mannakapadi, Barchen, Nirauli, Gadsera, Laxminagar, Chhatiwan, Ghanteshwor, Saraswatinagar, Jijodamadu, Tijali, Mudbhara, Mudegaon, Kaphalleki, Bhurirajmandu, Durgamandu, Tikhatar, Basudevi, Ranagaon, Pachanali, Latamandu, Banlek, Barpata, Lamikhal, Mahadevsthan, DahaKalikasthan, Kalikasthan, Girichauka, Chhapali, Toleni, Banjhokakani, Daud, Khatiwoda, Kalena, Baglek, Gairagaon, Kadamandu, Sanagaon, Gangjari, Ladagada, Pokhari. There is a Municipality in this district which is Dipayal silgadhi Municipality. Main residents of this district are Damai, Bramhin, Chhetri, Kami, Sanyasi etc.
