Nawalparasi District is a district of  Lumbini Zone, administrative headquarters of this district is Parasi, situated in Western Development Region of Nepal. It is situated in the height of 91 meters to 1936 meters from sea level and its area is 2162 square kilo meters. Total population of Nawalparasi district is 643,508 according to census 2068 B.S. (2011 A.D.). Main profession of the residents in this district is agriculture.
