Kanchanpur District is a district of Mahakali Zone, administrative headquarters of this district is Mahendranagar, situated in far western Development Region of Nepal. It is situated in the height of 173 meters to 1,528 meters from sea level and its area is 1,610 square kilo meters. Total population of Kanchanpur district is 451,248 according to census 2068 B.S. (2011 A.D.). main profession of the residents in this district is agriculture. Its agricultural land is 43,869.6 hectare, there are 19 village development committees these are Dodhara, Chandani, Suda, Daije, Jhalari. Krishnapur, Raikadar Bichawa, Dekhatbhuli, Shankarpur, Baise Bichawa, Kalika, Tribhuwanbasti, Parasan. Laxmipur, Shreepur, Rampurbilaspur, Beldandi, Rauteli Bichawa, Pipladi and a Mahendranagar Municipality. Main residents of this district are Chhetri, Bramhin, Tharu, Kami etc.
