Bardia District is a district of  Bheri Zone, administrative headquarters of this district is Gularia, located in Mid-Western Development Region of Nepal. It is situated in the height of 152 meters to 1457 meters from sea level and its area is 2025 square kilometers. Total population of Bardia district is 426,576 according to census 2068 B.S. (2011 A.D.). Main profession of the residents in this district is agriculture. Its agricultural land is 45504 hectare there are 31 village development committees that are Belawa, Patvar, Gola, Pashupatinagar, Daulatpur, Nayagaon, Rajapur, Badalpur, Manau, Bhimapur, Manpurtapara, Khairi chandarpur, Suryapatawa, Neulapur, Thakurdwara, Shivapur, Bagnaha, Dhodari, Baniyabhar, Magaragadi, Sanoshree, Taratal, Padnaha, Dhadhawar, Madanpur, Kalika, Jamuni, Mainapokhar, Sorhawa, Motipur, Deukalanda and a Gularia Municipality. Main residents of this district are Tharu, Bramhin, Chhetri, Kami, Musalman etc.
